Fender Gig Bag - Standard Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

Just remember there are millions of artists and producers out there so if you are not happy with the one you are with don't be afraid to find new friends.

One sign to look out for when working with an artist is a controlling habit were the artist cannot see past his own opinion and has no time to listen to the producer who has 20 years experience doing what the artist is telling him he is wrong about. This deal is sure to be a disaster and should be avoided at all costs. This can be the same on an artists side were the producer of his or her track thinks the artist should create the sounds and then have no say in the mix down or the mastering process even. As an artist I suggest finding a producer who asks your opinion as to what sound you are trying to accomplish and get rid of a producer who is just trying to rush you out of his studio so that he can get to work on your track.

It is very hard to predict the relationships outcome between a producer and an artist but it is a good idea for them to meet before hand and make sure they see eye to eye. The way I usually do this is to go out for a night on the town, have a few drinks and get to know each other outside of the studio atmosphere.
